Secure Transaction Approval is a security feature that allows users to designate a primary device to verify and approve transactions. It adds an extra layer of protection against unauthorized activity while offering a more seamless user experience by reducing the need for manual reviews by Customer Support. Here's a simple guide to help you get started.
How Secure Transaction Approval Works
Once activated, you'll set a specific phone as your primary device. All other devices will be treated as secondary. If you initiate a withdrawal or other transaction from a secondary device or from the Bybit website, a verification request will be sent to the Bybit App on your primary device. You can then either approve the transaction or reject it if it looks suspicious.
How to Activate Secure Transaction Approval
Prerequisites
Before activating Secure Transaction Approval, please make sure you have:
1. Completed at least Standard Identity Verification.
2. Enabled Passkey or SMS Authentication.
3. Enabled Email Authentication or Google Two-Factor Authentication.
You can complete these steps from the Bybit website by going to your profile icon → Account → Identity Verification and/or Security.
You can complete these steps from the Bybit App by going to your profile icon → Settings → Identity Verification and/or Security.
If you haven't completed Identity Verification or enabled the required authentication methods, you'll be prompted to do so during setup — just follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 3: On your primary device, review the transaction details in the verification request, then tap Approve to confirm or Reject if you don't recognize the transaction.
